
About Nadia
Nadia Tchoumi is a storyteller, entrepreneur, community leader and humanitarian. She understands the power of words, the importance of giving voice to those often misrepresented or unheard, and the value of sharing life-giving stories.
Nadia spent 17 years as a broadcast journalist, working for some of Canada’s most well known media companies, including CBC and Global TV. She’s lived and worked across Canada in St John’s, Calgary, Edmonton, Kitchener and Vancouver. She also worked as a freelance writer for The Weather Network and Planet Africa Magazine.
In 2018, she helped relaunch the Canadian Association of Black Journalists (CABJ), serving as Executive Director until September 2024. This national organization works to counter systematic racism in the media through advocacy and education.
